In this workshop, you'll create a 3D "Dragonfly" brooch with flexible, movable wings, crafted using embroidery and beading techniques. You'll learn beadwork, sequins, and bicone embroidery on a felt base, working with soft and stiff wire, braiding an Ndebele cord for the tail, weaving chatons and rivoli using a two-needle mosaic technique (a signature technique), creating movable wings on a frame, working with leather/suede for the backing, and making a secure clasp. This entry-level course is suitable for beginners who want to learn new skills and develop their creativity (Level II of the training program).
